How it works, step by step

Four simple stages, from first enquiry to confident, consistent progress.

01

Book a Free Trial

Getting started is straightforward. Simply fill in our short form and we'll be in touch to arrange a time that works for you. There's no pressure and no lengthy sign-up process - just a quick conversation so we can find the right slot and answer any questions you have before the trial.

02

Initial Assessment

The trial session lasts 60 minutes and gives the tutor a chance to sit with your child, understand where they're at, and get a feel for how they learn best. We look at their current level, where any gaps or uncertainties sit, and how confident they feel about the subject. This isn't a test - it's a relaxed conversation with some working through problems together. It helps us match the pace and approach from day one.

03

Weekly 90-Minute Sessions

Once enrolled, students attend weekly 90-minute sessions at our centre in Slough. We find 90 minutes is the sweet spot - long enough to properly explain something, practise it, and revisit it before the session ends, but not so long that concentration fades. Sessions move at a pace that suits the student, not a fixed syllabus schedule. If something needs more time, we take more time.

04

Ongoing Progress & Support

Every session is logged with notes on what was covered, what clicked and what needs revisiting. This means continuity is built in - if a tutor is ever unavailable, the next session can pick up exactly where things left off without your child losing momentum. We keep a close eye on progress and adjust our approach as they develop. Students are never left unsupported between sessions.

How booking works

We've designed the booking system to support consistency - because regular, predictable sessions are one of the biggest factors in steady progress.

Half-term blocks

Sessions are booked in half-term blocks. This keeps things consistent and gives students a regular rhythm - which makes a real difference to how quickly they build confidence and understanding.

Roll-over flexibility

If something comes up and a session can't go ahead, one session credit can roll over into the next block where needed. We try to be as accommodating as possible.

Reinforcement tasks

Depending on the child and what works best for them, we may set short reinforcement tasks between sessions. These aren't heavy or stressful - just a little practice to help things stick.

We aim to make things feel simple and low-stress. If you ever have questions about availability, scheduling or anything else, just get in touch - we're always happy to talk it through.

We adapt to how your child learns

Not every student learns the same way, and we don't teach the same way to every student. Some children need more time to process. Others need to move around a little. Some find traditional classroom settings difficult to focus in. We get it - and we've worked with lots of students who feel exactly the same way.

We have experience supporting students who find focus challenging, including those with ADHD, and we naturally adjust our approach based on what's working in the room. Sessions aren't rigid - if something isn't landing, we try a different angle.

Our centre in Slough is a calm, welcoming space. We keep classes small (maximum 4 students) so there's no sense of being lost in the crowd, and we have movement-friendly seating options available for students who find sitting still for long periods difficult.
