Heba
Founder & Lead Tutor · First-Class Maths Graduate
I graduated with first-class honours in Maths, but what shaped how I teach came earlier, sitting next to classmates who were stuck. They weren't bad at maths; no one had ever shown them why it worked. In the years since, I've built Aljabra around that one idea: understanding why the maths works, not just copying steps. We drill it with real exam questions until the foundations are second nature, so it holds up in the exam, not just the lesson. Even on a bad exam-day morning, it holds.
- First-class honours in Mathematics
- Taught 43 students 1:1 weekly across Berkshire last year
- Studied the teaching of mathematics as part of my degree
We sandwich the learning
Spaced repetition, timed to your school. Each topic is met three times - with gaps in between - so it lands in long-term memory, not just for the next lesson.
We teach it before
First exposure, before school covers it - so when they meet it in class, it's already familiar.
School teaches it
Second exposure in class - it sticks instead of washing over them, because the first pass already laid the groundwork.
We lock it in
Third exposure back with us on the hardest questions, spaced out so it moves into long-term memory for the real paper.
Why each topic is taught three times?
So your child remembers it on exam day, not just in the lesson. Three spaced exposures lock each topic into long-term memory, the proven method behind real grade gains.
Reserve your placeWhy choose Aljabra
Everything in our A-Level classes is built around one goal: the exam. Here's how we do it.
EXAM FOCUSED
We start past papers from day one, not last-minute cramming.
VISUAL TEACHING
We draw and visualise concepts so they actually click.
EXAM TECHNIQUE
Mark schemes decoded, every question type practised.
RECAP & REINFORCE
We revisit every topic so nothing slips away between lessons.

Book the half term to hold your place
Because the space is held just for you, you reserve by booking the half term, not week to week. That guarantee is what lets us commit to getting you your best possible grade.
First half term: 15 Sep to 20 Oct
Your booked sessions run from 15 September 2026 to 20 October 2026. Weekly 90-minute classes, max 5 students, with every topic covered three times to lock it in.
Decide 3 weeks before it ends
Three weeks before the half term ends, choose to book the next one or not. No pressure either way, you still keep the benefit of everything covered so far and a head start on the school year.
We follow up after you register
Once you register we send more information plus a WhatsApp text with the full address and everything you need before the first session.
Exam-focused from the start
We don't teach the textbook. We teach the exam.
Most tuition waits until revision season to look at exam questions. We flip that - exam technique is built in from lesson one.
Exam questions from day one
Every lesson is built around real past-paper questions. No filler theory - students meet the exam format in their very first session.
Exam-board specific
Edexcel, AQA, OCR, MEI. We track each board's spec, mark schemes, and common question phrasing so students recognise exactly what they see on the page.
Mark-scheme mastery
Students learn how marks are awarded - where easy points hide and where examiners take them away - so they stop losing marks they understand.
What that looks like in practice
Bring your own questions
Time is set aside in every session for anything from school you're stuck on - homework, classwork, a topic that didn't click, past paper questions, anything. Bring it along and we'll work through it together.
